Omaha Wolf Trap | Institute For Early Learning Through The Arts

Omaha Performing Arts has established a national partnership with Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, a Pre-K arts education program for local schools, community organizations and parents/caregivers with children ages 3-6.

Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, part of the Wolf Trap Foundation in Vienna, VA, supports over 100,000 children and early childhood educators across the nation and around the world.

O-pa teaching artists will work with teachers to develop lesson plans that integrate music, dance, theatre, puppetry, and storytelling to advance:
  • Cognitive and social-emotional development
  • Communication and relationship skills
  • Connection to STEM
  • Literacy and language skills

Starting in October 2023, O-pa will partner with Omaha Public Schools, then expand to additional schools in Nebraska and Western Iowa in future years. We will also offer 2 community workshops for parents and caregivers and a family class series to provide a variety of arts activities that families can use at home to reinforce learning and creativity.
