At Omaha Performing Arts we’re so thankful to our countless volunteers, corporate sponsors and others who help make the arts possible for us all to enjoy. One group we’d like to highlight this month is our Presenters Circle.

This volunteer group donates their time and talents to support Omaha Performing Arts' mission. The group raises awareness and funds through events, which contribute to our Education and Community Engagement programming.

Over the last 15 years they have raised more than $2.5 million for O-pa. Some initiatives include raising $47,000 in 2019/20 for our bi-annual fundraiser, Stage Party, which directly supports O-pa’s education and engagement programs. We canceled our 2020/21 Broadway Ball fundraising event due to COVID-19, but the Presenters Circle continued to work. The group launched a fundraising campaign and raised more than $200,000 to assist with our programs that reach more than 100,000 young people each year.

Beyond raising funds for O-pa, Presenters Circle volunteers also share their talents with us. Whether it's decorating the Orpheum for special occasions or creating gift baskets for O-pa employees working during the pandemic, they know how to create fond memories even during difficult times.

We appreciate our Presenters Circle members for their kindness and generosity this season.  It’s a gentle reminder of the many helping hands that make the arts a joyous and memorable experience on and behind the stage.
