OMAHA PERFORMING ARTS

For the past two months, we have partnered with Rayneesha Yvonne of BeAmbi & Company and Leo Louis II to seek out the best dancers in Omaha to compete in an All-styles Dance Battle Royale. After two battles, hosted at BeAmbi & Co Creative Studios, we have found the 6 finalists for the Championship Battle on May 19 at Steelhouse:

Moses Neblasca, Sontarian Davis, Antwan ‘Blu3teck’ Smith, Thaiair ‘King’ Kelly, Elijah ‘EJ’ Moore, and Gabriel ‘Gabe’ Moore. We will also have a featured performance from past Voices Amplified artist, De’Anthony Wood.

We'd like to give a big shoutout and thank you to DJ Scottie Pigeon for bringing the hottest music, and our judges, Houston Alexander, Chrome Louis, and Antwaun Bradshaw for helping us find our top 6!

What is Hip Hop Lab?

This program is designed to educate, elevate and amplify the 50-year legacy surrounding the global impact, performance, history, and culture of Hip Hop. With Industry Music Director Daniel Jones, serving as Artistic Advisor, HHL will draw in audiences with performances, TED Talk-style conversations, classes, summer camps & more!

On May 19 at Steelhouse Omaha, Hip Hop Lab will officially launch- join us!

7:00 PM Culture Talk on The Impact & Influence of 90's Hip Hop from the Streets to the Industry
Moderator: Artistic Advisor D. Jones
Speakers: Da Beatminerz, D. Prosper, Producer Rashad “Ringo” Smith, M1, and DJ Crabrangucci

8:00 PM Dance Battle Royale Championship
The Top 6 Finalists will battle for the title of Dance Battle Royale Champion. 3 winners will be announced but only one Dancer will take the crown. Dancers will dance to 90s Hip Hop Music spun by National Guest DJs, Da Beatminerz.
