Omaha’s newest source of wonder and discovery officially opens its doors on March 19! Mark your calendar and come explore the Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement: a vibrant place for community members of all ages to gather, learn, and find inspiration together through the performing arts. Join us for a lineup of fun to celebrate the grand opening then come back for a class or workshop to feed your curiosity and fuel your passion!

Ribbon Cutting: March 19 | 10:00 AM

Join us for the official opening ceremony with community leaders, building creators, and O-pa staff.

Open House: March 22 | 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Community Day: April 11 | 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
+ Block Party @ 7:00 PM

Ready to have some fun? It’s a full day extravaganza! From bounce houses and an Instrument Petting Zoo to camps and classes samplers and master classes with nationally-renowned artists, it’s going to be a blast no matter how old you are or how you engage with art. Completing the Dick & Mary Holland Campus

After decades of dreaming and two years of construction, the Tenaska Center for Arts Engagement completes Dick and Mary Holland’s vision for a thriving arts hub uniting entertainment, education, and community engagement. Together with the Holland Performing Arts Center and Steelhouse Omaha, you can find inspiration in every form on the Dick & Mary Holland Campus.

What’s inside the Tenaska Center?

  • The Tenaska Center houses O-pa’s expanding education and community engagement programs, which already serve more than 100,000 students, teachers and community members each year.
  • O-pa is creating new camps and classes for all ages, abilities, and experience levels in Broadway & Theater, Dance & Movement, Expressive Arts, Family & Preschool, Hip Hop, and Music.
  • The beautiful new Event Hall and Garden are available to host corporate events, weddings, and more with stunning views of Gene Leahy Mall.
