No, you may not, but thank you for asking!
origin of jazz on the green
Did you know Jazz on the Green started on the Joslyn Art Museum lawn? Preston Love Sr. and His Orchestra played the very first concert on July 11, 1985! The crowds grew from hundreds to thousands of people packing picnics and coming out to enjoy local and regional musicians. In 2010, O-pa took over the programming, production, and presentation of the event, and it moved to its current home at Midtown Crossing. Through the decades of this long-standing summer tradition, the refrain remains the same: It’s a beautiful summer night in Omaha and all are welcome!
