About Sue Gillespie Booton

Sue is the current director of musical theater education "Broadway at The Rose," Resident Choreographer and Actor at The Rose Theater, Omaha, NE. Her vast choreographic professional musical theater credits include Newsies, Matilda, Peter Pan, A Christmas Story, Elf the Musical,  Cinderella, Disney's Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast and Shrek, to name a few.  She was awarded "outstanding choreography" for her work in "Newsies" from Omaha Entertainment Awards, 

She has choreographed several student productions and high schools including Millard North, Westside, Omaha Central, Omaha North, Omaha South, Papillion-La Vista, Lewis Central, and Beveridge Middle School.  She has won "best choreography" for her show choir choreography, and choreographed student musicals such as Kiss Me Kate, Phantom of the Opera, Aida, Les Misérables and Once Upon a Mattress, to name a few.

She has received  "Outstanding Theater Educator" award from the Omaha Theater Arts Guild, as well as the "Freddy G Fellowship" national award from Music Theater International for outstanding musical theater educators. 

Onstage, her latest credits include Elf the Musical/Sam/Ensemble, Shrek/Dragon/Mama Bear, Dollmaker's Gift/Pola, Beehive/Ensemble, Love Always, Patsy Cline/Louise, and Ring of Fire/Ensemble.  National tour credits include Annie Get Your Gun, Grease, and Beehive.  Also several cruise ship and dinner theater shows.
