Steelhouse Omaha receives construction recognition & prestigious industry nomination

Steelhouse Omaha project partners Kiewit Building Group and Walter P Moore were recently recognized for excellence in construction and engineering for Omaha's newest live concert venue. In addition, Steelhouse was nominated for "New Concert Venue of the Year" by Pollstar!
New Concert Venue of the Year
Steelhouse Omaha has been nominated as “New Concert Venue of the Year” by the major industry publication Pollstar. The Pollstar Awards honor the top tours, venues, live music executives, agencies and production companies. Steelhouse is one of six venues nationwide nominated in the category for best new concert venue with a capacity under 5,000.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response the community has had for Steelhouse,” said O-pa president Joan Squires. “Fans, artists and crews have made it clear how much they love this new space, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to now receive major recognition from the national entertainment industry. We’re honored to have been nominated for this prestigious award.”
Voting recently closed and winners will be announced in early 2024.
2023 Build Nebraska Award
Kiewit Building Group was recognized for excellence in the construction industry. The Build Nebraska Awards recognize projects selected by a panel of peers judges — construction professionals from across the United States. Judges look for projects that have excelled in areas like state-of-the-art advancement, innovation in construction or use of materials, and contribution to the community.
2024 ACEC Texas Engineering Excellence Awards
Walter P Moore was awarded a gold medal for Steelhouse in the Structural Systems category of the 2024 ACEC Texas Engineering Excellence Awards. Even more exciting is that this award qualifies them to submit the project to the ACEC National Engineering Excellence competition!
