Shattering the Norm: An Inside Look into TAIKOPROJECT's Benzaiten

Drumming troupe TAIKOPROJECT’s latest full-length work shatters gender stereotypes. Channeling the Japanese goddess, Benzaiten unites Japanese drumming tradition with modern American innovation. Join the all-star San Francisco-based company for a free discussion and drum demonstration for community members before they perform at the Orpheum Theater on April 6.
"Earth Tones:" Connecting Creativity, Conservation and Communities featuring jazz master, Etienne Charles

Etienne Charles is a jazz musician, teacher, social justice advocate and avid environmental conservationist. Learn how he is bridging the creativity of music and science to tell compelling
stories of significant environmental challenges in marginalized communities through music and dance.
This event is free with a Night Light ticket. Space is limited. Reserve your seat through the Kiewit Luminarium. You'll be able to explore the Luminarium between 7-10 PM in addition to attending the Voices AMPLIFIED! event!

Omaha’s Fashion Arts Collective and O-pa are partnering again to bring fashion to the forefront. This year’s event will highlight Asian culture, artists and influences in the
fashion industry.
Global Sounds
4:00 to 10:00 PM│Upland Park (3014 Jefferson St.)
Global Sounds returns to Upland Park for a free festival presented in partnership with Canopy South. Global Sounds celebrates our cultural fabric through music, dance, food and community.
